How to bake salmon in the oven

Salmon fillets can be baked in the oven much in the same way as any other fish or chicken breast. Follow the instructions on your recipe, as some will call for salmon to be placed in a baking tray with other ingredients whereas others might ask for the salmon fillet to be wrapped in foil. If the recipe has a glaze, it is often best not to cover in the oven so that the sugars within the sauces are able to caramelise.

It will always depend on the size of the fillet, but a typical 240g fillet will take between 15 and 20 minutes in the oven, cooked at 180 degrees Celsius.
