The movie Midsommar is full of iconic moments, many of which include the food! The dishes are so elaborate and interesting that we thought it would be fun to bring you a roundup of vegan Midsommar recipes. Some of these recipes resemble dishes that were served in the movie, like the “meat” pies, mushroom tea, and lemony drinks (with an added love potion version.) Other dishes are similar to traditional Swedish recipes and use ingredients that are popular in Sweden like potatoes, elderflowers, and lingonberries. Of course, we also had to include references to the iconic flower dress and bear scene. Whether or not you have seen the movie, you can still partake in a fun summer celebration with these delicious vegan foods. Midsummer was on June 24th, but there’s still plenty of time left to have a belated feast and watch the movie. Skål!
