A SIDENOTE: this post originally included 50 recipes when it was first published, but I’ve added a lot more since then. If you got to this page from “50 Vegan Thanksgiving Recipes” pins on Pinterest, please don’t get confused – you’re in the right place!
Thanksgiving is one holiday that can be puzzling both for vegans (“What the heck are we going to eat?!”) and non-vegans (“What the heck are we going to serve our vegan guests?!”).
The search for vegan Thanksgiving dishes and recipes heats up on the internet in the weeks leading to the biggest meal of the year.
Luckily, the vegan blogosphere has plenty of ideas for every part of a good Thanksgiving meal. My list of 80+ vegetarian Thanksgiving recipes (vegan actually) from a variety of vegan or vegan-friendly websites will save you time and effort as you get ready to prep your perfect vegan holiday feast.
Believe it or not, looking for recipes for your vegan Thanksgiving dinner menu doesn’t have to be hard. Below you’ll find a lot of easy recipes to guarantee a stress-free Thanksgiving dinner that all of your family members will enjoy, vegan or not.
Before you know it, your belly will be just as full after this big holiday meal. The best part? If you’re the host, your guests might even forget that the whole spread was vegan!
I firmly believe that making your favorite vegan Thanksgiving recipes can be a great way to show our non-vegan friends and family members that vegan food can be delicious.
Case in point.
This is going to be the tenth Thanksgiving that I’ll be celebrating as a vegan. In my first year of being vegan, I didn’t feel 100% confident planning our first ever vegan Thanksgiving menu (I’m sure every new vegan goes through that 😄).
That year we were visiting our friends who were meat eaters. I knew I had a lot to prove both to them and to myself.
To my (and probably everyone else’s) surprise, I managed to put together a vegan Thanksgiving feast to rival any non-vegan ones I’d had before. The food had tons of flavor, and every dish got rave reviews from our friends.
(Our friends did make a few non-vegan dishes for themselves, but I was cool with that – it was their house after all).
That first vegan Thanksgiving proved to me that nobody needs to use animal products to celebrate the holiday season. If you or your friends are in doubt, just check out all the delicious recipes below.
Happy Thanksgiving!
(Please note that not all websites linked in my list are 100% vegan – however, all recipes below are vegan.)
