Lauren Alaina officially said “I Do” to her other half Cam Arnold during their stunning ceremony at Nashville’s Schermerhorn Symphony Center over the weekend.

In an interview with PEOPLE surrounding the big day, the songstress explained that it was love at first sight with the beautiful venue. She recalled having a gut feeling that told her she would walk down the aisle surrounded by the stunning architecture and tremendous history that’s cemented into the walls and that’s exactly what she did.

“The Symphony Center is such an iconic place, and when I walked in and looked at it, I just knew that’s where I wanted to get married,” the “Don’t Judge a Woman” singer recalls.

When the moment finally came, the Georgia native stunned in herAnne Bargegown, which was custom-designed by the brand’s creative director, Shawne Jacobs. The simple yet eye-catching dress featured an elegant lace long-sleeve mock-neck that laid underneath the deep v-neck strapless bodice. The lovely floral texture with hand beading overflowed onto the pleated detachable overskirt to elevate the look. she added a chapel-length veil in hand-beaded Alençon lace to give the true bridal touch.

Arnold’s ensemble of a black bow tie, black slacks and wintery emerald green jacket followed in synch with the wintery color theme.

Arnold reportedly walked down to his position at the end of the aisle as the couple’s best friendsBen and Lauren Johnson, performed a stunning rendition of “Neon Moon” by Brooks & Dunn on the cello and violin, respectively.Alaina chose to make her grand entrance incredibly personal as she walked down the aisle to an instrumental version of a song she penned from the heart for her man Arnold, called “Breaking Up with Single.”

After exchanging vows in front of their guests and officially being declared husband and wife under the white floral arch bytheir officiant, Arnold’s friend, Henry Valentine Geny, the couple exited the ceremony with both of their two dogs by their sides.

“Our siblings all stood up there with us as we got married. And Cameron’s dad was his best man, which was super sweet,” Alaina told the outlet. “It was a very emotional, very heartfelt ceremony.”

Inside the reception, the couple celebrated alongside450 of their closest family and friends, which included some of Alaina’s fellow country stars. The star-studded guest list welcomed Jason and Brittany Aldean, HARDY and his wife, Caleigh Ryan, Lindsay Ell, Shay Mooney of Dan + Shay, and Russell Dickerson and his wife, Kailey, to name a few.

“Here’s the funny thing: I wanted a small wedding and Cameron wanted a big wedding. So we compromised — and had a 450-person guest list,” Alaina told PEOPLE. “I think it’s just a reflection of how fortunate we are — we have a lot of people who love us and we love a lot of people.”

Aldean’s wife, Brittany took to Instagram following the elegant event to celebrate the newlyweds and share a few snapshots from the night.

Her caption read, “We love love🥹Congratulations@laurenalaina @arnold.cam 💍💒What a beautiful night it was!!”

Alaina and Arnold had their first dance together as husband and wife to “Feet Off the Ground” by Brent Cobb (featuring Jade Bird). “We listen to that song a lot together. It’s kind of become our song,” Alaina explains.

Instead of going forward with the traditional method of assigning each of their guests to a specific table, Alaina opted to avoid the daunting task by hosting a casual, “around-the-world”-style dinner that offered Asian, American, Mexican and Greek dishes.

For dessert, the couple selected a multi-tiered cake byNashville Sweetswith black icing covered in emerald and gold floral décor. Inside was four different flavors, including Alaina’s favorite, raspberry chocolate. PEOPLE reported that Arnold also had a Budweiser-inspired groom’s cake.

The couple closed out the weekend with a “send-off brunch” of burgers and beer before continuing their celebrations as husband and wife with a honeymoon in Hawaii.

“Neither one of us has been [there], so we’re very much looking forward to it,” she shared.

While reminiscing about the memorable day and the person she now gets to share the rest of her life with, the Georgia native dubbed Arnold her “safe place to call home forever” and expressed excitement for what the future will hold for them.

“I’m excited to have someone to celebrate everything with. To have a definite first call, always,” she told the outlet. “And just a partnership that is so much stronger than any other partnership you have. It’s exciting to know you have someone to celebrate everything with and to share hardships with, to have someone that will walk through life with you, good and bad.”

Arnold also took a moment to reflect on their journey together and promised to always be Alaina’s “No. 1 fan” through whatever may bring amid their next phase of life.

“To me, getting married means the world,” he shared humbly. “I’m excited to watch Lauren’s career flourish, to be her No. 1 fan, and even if everything goes to hell in a hand basket, I still will be.”

Alaina also opened up about their plan to enjoy the next few years together as a couple before “hopefully” welcoming their kids of their own.

“We’ll keep growing together,” she added.
